How to Find Out Her Ring Size

1. Ask Her Parents

After you’ve asked her parents for permission for her hand, ask them if they could find out her ring size! Chances are at some point they’ve bought her a ring or seen her try one on, perhaps her mother’s or grandmother’s. Here’s a good place to start! Only catch is she may have never tried out a ring on that sacred finger! At least this may give you a roundabout on sizing.

2. Go Through Her Stuff!

If you live together or have access to her jewellery, do a little meddling! My fiancée and I live together and he borrowed a ring measurer from the jeweller and tested out a few of my other rings, of course they were not the same exact size as my ring finger but any good jeweller can estimate based on the size of other rings!

3. Take Her Shopping

Maybe get her to try on rings in a fun way! Take her to an antique store and suggest she try on old rings, perhaps even the craziest looking one to get an idea of ring size without her having a clue what you’re up to! Double-back later and ask the store the size of that ring, maybe even purchase it and include it in the proposal later, could be a fun and sweet way to show her how long you’d been planning the proposal for!
