One of our favourite and remarkable proposals took place under a magnificent 10-foot tree arch, set against the breath-taking backdrop of the iconic Fitzrovia Chapel.
Love Under the Stars
The Chapel, nestled in the heart of London’s Fitzrovia district, is a venue steeped in romantic history. Originally built in the late 19th century as part of the Middlesex Hospital, the chapel has since become a symbol of timeless beauty and elegance, with London-based artist and icon Grayson Perry naming the church “London’s hidden gem’. Its stunning original features, including intricate mosaics, vaulted ceilings, and exquisite stained-glass windows, create a serene and enchanting atmosphere. Each stained-glass window tells a story, along with every hand placed mosaic piece, casting colourful light that dances across the chapel’s interior. This historic gem provided the perfect setting for an unforgettable proposal, rich in romance and opulence. We are privileged to be the only Chapel’s approved and recommended proposal planner.
Our team at The One Romance designed an extraordinary proposal scape that highlighted the chapel’s inherent beauty while adding a touch of natural elegance. We brought in a magnificent 10-foot tree arch, covered it in fairy lights and stars, which illuminated the chapel in a warm, romantic glow. The light cast a magical ambiance across the couple and their guests, creating a moment that felt like a dream come true. The tree and fairy lights brought nature and light into the chapel, in a way that only nature seems to do. The branches of their stunning proposal tree hung over them with the security that years of growth brings.
