Sam asked us to help him plan an elegant yet simple proposal which would include the best views London. The Shangri La Luxury hotel (which is located in The Shard) has always been one of our favourite proposal spots due to the fact it has the most incredible floor to ceiling windows with views over the whole of London, so what better place than Sam to pop the question that in one of their luxury suites overlooking the city!
Proposing at The Shard
Sam wanted the proposal to be simple yet elegant so we decided to take traditional, old fashioned romance and add it to his proposal at The Shard. We bought in hundreds of candles and rose petals which completely filled the room, creating a gorgeously romantic atmosphere.
Sam also wanted there to be a sign of some sort that said ‘Will you Marry me?’ so we created a gorgeous statement piece made of scented rose petals which we displayed on the couples high king sized bed!
We also added hundreds of beautiful moroccan fail lights in and amongst the rose petals so that the room literally glittered with romance! We also arranged for our secret photographer to be hidden in the room so she could capture the moment when Sam proposed.
Sam had taken his girlfriend for a slap up supper before leading her back to the hotel room. As she entered he got down on one knee and asked her to be his wife! We just love her reaction in the photo below!
Sam said: “Many thanks for everything that you did helping me propose! Everything was perfect and she loved it – we just can’t wait to see the photos! Your team did an incredible job and I couldn’t have done it without you all. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!”
