The One Romance helps clients from around the world propose to their other half in iconic and beautiful places throughout Europe. With this cold weather in the UK to warm us all up, we thought we would look at our latest proposal in Italy; travelling from the US, Carson got in touch with us as he wanted to propose to his girlfriend Shima on a sailing boat off the coast of Northern Italy. He had chosen one of the most beautiful backdrops for the proposal: the small yet stunning Manarolla village of the Cinque Terre at sunset.
Our team were able to organise everything from the sail boat to the photographer and the dinner after the proposal. As the success of this proposal was dependent on good weather, our Proposal Planners tentatively kept tabs on the weather forecast in case they had to put Plan B into action – they were prepared for anything! Thankfully, the weather was perfect and the proposal could go ahead exactly as planned.
The couple arrived at the port, with Shima believing that their friend had booked a sunset trip for them including a photographer to capture the beautiful moments as a memory of their trip to Italy. As they sailed down the coast, Manarolla came into view and Carson proposed whilst standing at the bow of the boat. Shima was completely surprised and of course said yes! As the newly-engaged couple sailed into the sunset, they celebrated with champagne and a photoshoot with the gorgeous Golden Hour sunlight!
Once they had returned to the port, they were whisked away to a private terrace at one of Manarolla’s top restaurants. Our team had decorated the area with candles and rose petals for a beautiful celebratory meal!
This was such a beautiful proposal and perfect for those couples that like to keep things intimate and private. The One Romance Team wish Carson and Shima many happy years together and can’t wait to see the wedding photos!
