Propose to Them

Devise a proposal for them as sweet as the one you have planned for their daughter! Do something lovely for them: take them to their favorite restaurant; maybe the place where they got engaged or some place meaningful to their relationship if you know one! Tell them how their romance has influenced their daughter and made her who she is, the person you want to marry!

Set Up A Dinner

My fiance’ called up my sister and arranged for her to have my parents over when he knew I would be working. Once their bellies were full (who isn’t happy after eating?!) he asked for their permission.

Video Chat

If you can’t do it in person, maybe they live too far away try and arrange a video chat with them. Maybe have something interesting planned like cue cards about how much you love their daughter and pictures of the two of you together. Putting in this effort will go a long way with the parents and perhaps you could find a way to include videos of them in your proposal.

Give Them A Call

Not tech savy folks? A phonecall has never hurt! Speak from the heart and let it do all the talking, phone calls can be difficult especially when you can’t see the emotions of the person on the other end. Make your intentions clear, ask them and then tell them all the details on how you plan to do it! They’ll be grateful to be included.
