Proposals needn’t cost the earth, and if you have just spent a fortune on the engagement ring then you might decide to propose in a simple way, rather than splashing any more cash.
We have therefore come up with some sweet and simple DIY proposal ideas that you can pull together by yourself. We will of course still be on hand to offer proposal advice should you need it!
A proposal in a box
Ok, so maybe a proposal in a box doesn’t sound that romantic but it’s certainly good when it comes to inspiration. We think these DIY proposal ideas are pretty good if you want a straight forward (yet fun) marriage proposal
Write it on the wall (but make sure it’s YOUR wall!)
If you have just moved into a new home together and you haven’t started decorating yet, then why not write your marriage proposal on the wall. It will certainly be something she will remember forever
Spell it out
Bunting is pretty easy to make (and if you’re not creative then it’s also very easy to buy!) Make your bunting personalsied by getting it to spell out “Will you marry me” and then hand it above the area that you would like to propose. If it’s sunny you could set up a little picnic with all of her favorite foods and the marry me sign hanging above it!
Make a collage of photos
Chances are you will have hundreds, if not thousands of photos of the two of you. Get a piece of string and some wooden pegs and hang the photos up all around your home, or in the spot where you first met.
