As a testament to the amazing work that The One Romance has done, we were chosen as one of Jacqueline Golds 2015 WOW Winners! After submitting our business plan to Women on Wednesday’s, Jacqueline chose us as one of her three favourite female-led businesses of 2015. Not only did we have a mentoring lunch with Jacqueline in London but were also invited to a full day of mentoring at the Ann Summers Head Office in August.
We were lucky enough to share the day with not only the 2015 WOW Winners but also the 2016 Winners; even more inspirational women that have set up their own companies. These included Secret Cloud House Holidays and The Cutlery Commission – two companies that we are very excited to work with in the future!
It was a motivating and inspiring day that included a tour of the offices, meetings with the Heads of each department within the firm and time to ask Jacqueline some final questions. We all left with invaluable tips, tricks and insider knowledge to process and apply to our own businesses (as well as goodie bags of course!). It has made us eager to bring new and exciting changes to our company and we are looking forward to see what the next few years have in store for us as we have already achieved so much since launching in 2014!
