As the London Eye’s official Proposal Planners, we take great pride in the creative proposal ideas we come up with at The One Romance, and this romantic proposal for David and Sofia was no different.

The London Eye is an icon of London’s skyline, giving incredible views of landmarks like St. Paul’s Cathedral and Big Ben. So when David contacted us for proposal help, he knew he wanted to propose on the Eye, and he also knew he wanted to create the best London Eye proposal ever!

Luckily David came to the right place when he chose to work with The One Romance. When the couple stepped onto the Eye for what Sofia thought was a romantic date, she had no idea that we had hired a private capsule, or that her fellow tourists were actually professional singers in disguise!

As David and Sofia enjoyed the gorgeous weather and the stunning views, they were approached and told they had won a competition. They sat down together and were blindfolded, ready for a surprise revealing what they had won.

Of course, David knew all along what was going on – while the couple were blindfolded, we were busy at work decorating the capsule with roses, personal photos and props, carpets and a hamper of wine and treats! Most importantly we added a banner saying “Marry me”, ready for the big reveal.

David was the first to have his blindfold removed, and he positioned himself down on one knee. When Sofia took off her blindfold, she was brimming with surprise and joy, greeted by the sight of David presenting her with a sparkling ring, and the sound of two professional singers giving an acoustic rendition of “Marry You” by Bruno Mars at the moment where David proposed.

After the marriage proposal came the celebration! The happy couple enjoyed a glass of champagne, and of course some celebratory hugs and kisses, on their descent, accompanied by romantic music and beautiful views over London.
